Briefing for PCPs on domestic abuse

Frontline Consulting has produced a briefing for Police and Crime Panels to assist them with contributing to tackling domestic abuse.

The briefing:

  • outlines the results of HMIC’s 2104 inspections of how police forces in England and Wales dealt with domestic abuse
  • updates this picture by providing information on force vulnerability inspection reports and HMIC’s December 2015 thematic progress report on the police response to domestic abuse
  • provides suggested lines of questioning for Police and Crime Panels to use when challenging and supporting their Police and Crime Commissioner on this important matter, and references to good practice examples

The briefing also provides information on how each police force was rated by HMIC in its Vulnerability inspections as part of the PEEL assessment programme, and links to all the relevant reports.

It can be downloaded here.
