Met Police Commissioner questioned on progress in implementing Macpherson report recommendations

On 8 July 2019 the Home Affairs Committee heared from the Commissioner of the Metropolitan Police Service, on the Met's progress in implementing the recommendations of the Macpherson Report, including steps taken to address that report's findings on institutional racism in the police, measures taken in respect of the recruitment and retention of BAME officers and staff in the Metropolitan Police Service, police-community relations and stop and search.
