National voice for PCPs
The AGM will be held at conference from 11:15 am until 12 noon.
On Thursday 19 April 2018 a National Association of the Police, Fire and Crime Panels (NAPFCP) was established by way of a SIG, supported by the LGA. An Executive was established, which has been working with the LGA to get things underway.
24 PCPs have signed to join the Association to date all of whom will be present at conference. The AGM will be asked to approve the constitution and the NAFPCP expenses policy. It will also consider the activities since the NAPFCP planning meeting held in July in London, namely the website and potential activity such as improved guidance and the impact on panels of the proposed PCC chnages to the police complaints process. It will also receive a letter from the Home Office.
John-Gili Ross, Independent Member for Essex Police, Fire and Crime Panel, was appointed the Chair in April 2018 of the National Association of the Police, Fire and Crime Panels.
Alison Lowe, Chair of West Yorkshire PCP and John Adams, Vice-Chair of Dorset PCP were appointed Vice-Chairs.
