National voice for PCPs
On Thursday 19 April 2018 a National Association of the Police, Fire and Crime Panels (NAPFCP) was established by way of a SIG, supported by the LGA. An Executive was established, which has been working with the LGA.
24 PCPs have signed to join the Association to date all of whom were present at conference. The AGM approved the constitution and the NAFPCP expenses policy. It reviewed the position since the NAPFCP planning meeting held in July in London, namely around the website and potential activity, such as improved guidance and the impact on panels of the proposed PCC changes to the police complaints process. It also discussed the letter received from the Home Office.
John-Gili Ross, Independent Member for Essex Police, Fire and Crime Panel, was appointed the Chair in April 2018 of the National Association of the Police, Fire and Crime Panels and was re-appointed at the AGM.
The second AGM will be held at this year's PCP National Conference on Tuesday 19 November 2019.
